22nd COUNCIL REPORT TO NEC

This report covers the period from February to December 2023 and is presented with focus on the agreed Union Strategic Objectives for the year starting 2024 as agreed in 2023.

HTS-Union has and continue to function, operate and undertake its mandate in accordance to the Labour Unions Act 2006, its Constitution and the agreed strategic Plan among other relevant instruments in place. While aware that we are still undergoing the recovery process arising from the COVID 19 Pandemic which claimed over 25.000 union members, it remains very important for us to strategically position our union and do all it takes to recover our membership in the shortest possible time. This then calls for the need to finalize our new strategic plan that we shall use to effectively undertake our mandate as a worker’s voice within our jurisdiction.
